About Our Practice
Practice History Dr. Scott Bobbitt graduated Magna cum Laude as an Honors Scholar with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT in 1985. He was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Lambda Upsilon (National Chemistry) Honor Societies for his academic achievements. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT in 1989. Upon graduation, he was selected to attend the United States Air Force General Dental Residency at Ehrling Berquist Regional Hospital in Omaha, NE, which offered rotations and advanced instruction in all the specialties of dentistry, anesthesia and forensics. From 1990 – 1993, he was stationed with the United States Air Force in Europe at RAF Bentwaters, England. After returning to the United States in July 1993, Dr. Bobbitt joined with Dr. Raymond J. Sirois’ practice already established for 32 years in Nashua. In July 1994, Dr. Bobbitt bought the practice and worked side-by-side with Dr. Sirois until his retirement in 2000. Dr. Bobbitt offers an extensive array of comprehensive dental care to his patients by remaining committed to continuing education. The State of New Hampshire requires 20 hours of continuing education each year as a requisite of licensure. Dr. Bobbitt commits as many as 140 hours per year to advanced education. In recognition of this commitment, the Academy of General Dentistry awarded him Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in July 2003. In 2009, he completed his studies in ten distinct disciplines of dentistry and was awarded Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) at the AGD Annual Convention in Baltimore. He continues to learn and educate himself and his staff in the advances of the dental profession. He has lectured locally, regionally, and nationally on the subject of and maintains an active interest in continuing education seminars and professional study clubs. His experience in the advances of dental implants led to his recognition by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) with the awarding of Fellowship status (FICOI) in December 2010. Dr. Bobbitt holds professional memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the Greater Nashua Dental Society, and the New Hampshire Dental Society. He has advanced training in Fixed and Removable, Implant, Laser, Prosthetics, and Forensics dentistry. In a series of surveys, all dentists in the State of New Hampshire were polled to determine who amongst their peers they would choose to treat themselves or a loved one. Dr. Bobbitt was selected in the survey as one of the “Top 5 General Dentists in NH” by New Hampshire Dentists and listed in New Hampshire Magazine, August 2005 and again in August 2010.
